Merry Christmas and Thank You Posted: 24 Dec 2011 12:09 AM PST Advertise here with BSA It has been an amazing 2011 for Speckyboy. This was our first full year of daily publishing, we expanded our categories to cover almost all aspects of design from the web and mobile design to graphic design, from freebies and resources, from opinion pieces to tutorials, and a hell of lot in between. So far this year we have published 368 posts, generating an average of 2.4 million monthly page views (a million more than last year!), our RSS subscribers have doubled, our Twitter following has grown to 30,000 followers and our Facebook page has 12,000 likes. Yep, it really has been a fantastic year for us. How did we achieve it all? Well, that is simple. It is all down to our awesome readers and followers. Without you, we would never have achieved what we have. Thank you! Thank you for reading Speckyboy. If you subscribe to our RSS feed, thank you. If you’ve ever shared an article, thank you. Of course, the content you’ve been reading this year doesn’t create itself. We gained a multitude of new authors. A thank you goes out to all our regular authors who work tirelessly–well, probably not actually tirelessly, but you get the picture–to write articles which are hopefully enjoyable and useful to readers. Here they all are: Tomas Laurinavicius, Jake Rocheleau, Andy Killen, Jameel Khan, Hannah Milan, Jennifer Moline, Nathan Powell, Alexandre Smirnov, Sufyan bin Uzayr, Emma Davies, Harry Jay Clement, Danielle Porter, Addison Duvall, Alec Lynch, Emma Egan, Danielle Porter and myself (Paul Andrew), I wrote a few as well. A major thanks goes out to our host Media Temple for keeping us online all year without any down-time, other than the 2-3 short blips that we caused ourselves. I better mention their amazing support department for having to put up with our few blonde moments – Thanks guys :) Hosting is one aspect, but the speed of our website is another. In that regard, a big thank you goes out to our CTO Andy Killen for making Speckyboy super-fast. Speckyboy doesn’t just magically stay online – we do need support and sponsors. Without support from our long-term sponsors Speckyboy would not be possible.
